Understanding Your Window
Knowing the key parts of your window will help you measure accurately.
1. Magnetic Strip
The magnetic strip adheres to this flat section of the window frame.
2. Window reveal
The reveal is the wall surface that returns back from the window.
3. Window cavity
Your secondary glazing panels sits across this cavity to create an insulating air gap. Ensure any window furniture, such as handles or locks, fits comfortably within this space.
How To Measure
Accurate measurements ensure your panels fit perfectly.
1. Measure the height on both sides (in cm & mm).
2. Measure the width at the top and bottom (in cm & mm).
3. Record the smallest width and smallest height.
NOTE: Heritage windows are rarely perfectly square. Measuring in multiple places is the best way to ensure a perfect fit.
Our magnetic strips come in a choice of colours:
• 13mm strips for windows up to 1m²
• 20mm strips for windows 1m² or bigger.
